Our approach
Each course uses the ABC lens from behavior analysis: look at what happened before, during and after, so you can respond with calm instead of guesswork.
What happened just before the behavior?
Example: Snack time ends and the blocks get put away.
What did the child actually do, described plainly?
Example: Drops to the floor, cries and kicks.
What happened right after, and what did it teach?
Example: The blocks come back out, so crying worked.

Meet your teacher
I'm Mayela Sosa, a child psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and mom of twins. I help families and caregivers understand why children behave the way they do, especially sensitive kids, and respond with patience and a plan.
I started Familia Consciente so that teachers, nannies and caregivers can get the same practical, science-based tools I use every day, explained simply and without judgment.
On Instagram I share child development tips at @familia__consciente and easy, low-prep activities for toddlers at @lovingmoms_.
